The 2025 fall semester will begin with open house classes on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 pm and Sunday, September 21 at 3 pm. These free classes will provide a roughly 1 hour introduction to kendo. The kendo club does not charge any other fees. We will supply a shinai (bamboo sword) for you to use during the introductory class. Please wear some clothes you can move in such as sweats or shorts.
If you elect to continue, you will need to have a YMCA membership. You will also need to purchase a shinai ($40).
