The 35th annual Saskatoon Kendo Seminar was held May 3-5 at the YMCA and Marion Graham Collegiate. This year we had nearly 80 participants from 8 different dojo.
Many thanks to our guest sensei, Ray Murao from Steveston Kendo Club. Murao-sensei taught two excellent seminar sessions, one focused on basics and the other on elements of instruction.
This year we had 26 people who challenged the grading. Congratulations to all who passed, but especially to our Saskatoon Kendo Club members who all passed. Howie Liu, Evelyn Hill, Donovan Lavoie and Yi Qin passed ikkyu, and Paolo Roberto De Leon passed shodan.
